Overview

The Lombardo College of Business launched in 2019 and is the fastest growing college at Millersville University. The college consists of four departments: Accounting & Finance, Economics, Management & Marketing, and Wellness & Sport Science. We offer a wide variety of degrees that connect with students’ diverse interests. These include the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in accounting, finance, information technology, management marketing, business administration, and sport administration, with concentrations in general business, international business, cybersecurity, HR management, wealth management, and sport business. We have interdisciplinary degrees in business analytics and entrepreneurship. We also offer a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in economics. For advanced degrees, we have a Master of Education in Sport Management, with concentrations in Athletic Coaching and Athletic Management.

Our programs are designed to provide study in the areas that will help our graduates thrive in their respective disciplines. Our B.S. programs in Business Administration, Management, and Marketing are offered in-person and online formats. The College's program has a diverse faculty with extensive academic training and private-sector experience.

Our curriculums also provide excellent preparation for graduate and professional studies leading to degrees such as the M.B.A., M.S., Ph.D. and the J.D. Accounting students have available all the necessary coursework to sit for either the CPA or CMA, CIA, or the CFE examination.

Internships are an integral part of our program and link students with local and regional industry. Our degree programs are designed to easily integrate with minor programs. Studies in disciplines outside our college are required to help develop the well-rounded and liberally educated person employers seek.

Course Description
This program provides a hands-on education in applied artificial intelligence — from AI foundations through workflow automation, agentic systems, software architecture, security, and system analysis and consulting. Through a mastery-based approach, students develop and demonstrate actual competency by building real AI systems, deploying them to production, and proving measurable business value for real clients.

The program is designed to transform beginners into job-ready AI professionals, positioned to serve the 90% of the economy that has not yet adopted AI. The primary outcome of the program is a portfolio of deployed projects, a real-business capstone with measured ROI, and the skills to assess needs and create value with AI in various business settings.

Students will develop technical proficiency across AI tools, automation platforms, agentic architectures, and secure software deployment. Students will also learn to analyze business workflows and systems, diagnose opportunities for acceleration and complete capstone projects demonstrating real ROI.

1. Set up and customize an AI-powered development environment with integrated tools, agents, and automated workflows tailored to their specific work context.

2. Analyze a business's existing workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies, manual bottlenecks, and opportunities where AI-driven solutions would deliver measurable impact.

3. Build and deploy custom software using AI as a force multiplier throughout the entire development lifecycle.

4. Design and implement automations and AI agent workflows that replace manual, repetitive business processes with reliable, scalable systems.

5. Evaluate proposed solutions in business terms — calculating ROI, cost savings, capacity gains, and revenue impact — to build a compelling case for implementation.

6. Develop and present a professional case study that documents a real business problem, the solution implemented, stakeholder engagement, and measurable outcomes achieved.

Application and Program Requirements & Expenses

There is no application fee. Students must complete a free preliminary evaluation prior to enrolling in this program. Students are required to have an Apple or Windows Laptop computer no older than 2022 and at least 8 Gb of RAM. Students will be required to have at least 1 paid LLM subscription and should budget approximately $100/month for personal AI tools and licenses.

Attendance

All students are required to maintain consistent weekly engagement. Because these programs are delivered online and self-paced, attendance is measured through learning management system (LMS) activity. Indicators of attendance include:

● Completion of curriculum modules, exercises, and projects

● Submissions to required assessments

● Progress toward weekly benchmarks (approximately 25 hours per week of designed curriculum engagement)

Students who do not demonstrate measurable progress for one consecutive week will receive a written warning. Students who do not demonstrate measurable progress for two consecutive weeks will be withdrawn from the program.

Student Progress

Student progress is monitored through the learning management system (LMS) and evaluated at regular intervals by Millersville instructors. Students are assessed on two dimensions:

Curriculum completion — completing all assigned modules, exercises, and projects within the program timeline.
Competency demonstration — passing required technical assessments that verify mastery of program material.

Assessment methods include quizzes, technical interviews, project reviews, and presentations/demos.

The program is graded on a Pass/Fail basis. Students must pass all required assessments to earn the certificate.

Students who fall behind the expected pace will be contacted by their instructor to develop a plan for getting back on track. Students who do not meet progress requirements may be placed on academic probation or withdrawn per the attendance policy above.

Course Description
This course provides adult career changers a strong foundation in essential Cybersecurity concepts, tailored for individuals seeking to enter various cybersecurity or IT fields. With a mastery-based approach, participants will develop and be required to demonstrate actual competency of relevant skills and concepts, empowering them to pursue a successful career in the ever-growing Cybersecurity industry.

Students will have the opportunity to earn globally recognized IT and cybersecurity certifications.
