Tell School of Music students to have the unique opportunity to study with two internationally renowned scholars in the Kodály Concept of music education - Dr. Philip Tacka and Dr. Micheal Houlahan and obtain a Certificate in Kodály Teaching at the Tell School.   The Kodály Concept of teaching allows students to have the opportunity to enhance further their pedagogical skills that promote musicianship skills through experiential learning in singing, playing instruments, conducting, learning global repertoires, and understanding how to teach music from a sound to symbol perspective. In addition, students can observe and work with Kodály teachers in public school settings. The Certificate is an additional credential to the Music Education students' transcript showing additional, specialized study in the Kodály Concept of teaching - an attractive credential for music teachers!
