Certificate in Trauma-Informed Behavior Health
The TIBH Certificate comprises two tracks. The first track is the Expressive Arts (EA), which provides students with the required knowledge and skills to use arts (e.g., music, theater, art, dance/movement, storytelling) to apply to their practice with various groups and at all levels (micro, mezzo, macro) of practice. Students will complete coursework and 250 hours of applied learning in a practicum coordinated by our Practicum Coordinator and Certificate Coordinator.
The second track is Equine-Assisted Therapeutic and Educational Learning (EATL), which provides students with the required knowledge and skills to partner with horses (and other animals) and use nature-based strategies to apply their therapeutic and/or education practice with diverse populations across all levels of intervention. Students will complete practicum hours in an Equine-Assisted Therapy & Learning internship at at programs or facilities approved by our Practicum Coordinator and Certificate Coordinator.
